Endless Drama
I feel like I should elaborate more on the collapsed ceiling pictures I posted in the previous post. Hrm. Where do I start.

So as you already know, Aliaa and I were shoo-ed away from the flat at Coatbridge House before our summer holidays started last year, and thanx to our agent we were moved to another flat just across the road from the previous one. However, the 'new' apartment was not really in tip top condition, so we sort of set our minds that we would find a better place once we both got back from Malaysia.

So the holidays came and went, and we were back in the 'not so pleasant' flat. We spent a few weeks there while searching for a better place, but at the same time we were still considering to stay at that place. Moving is so tiring, and both Aliaa and I resent it so much up to the point that we were both prepared to stay at the mediocre place just to avoid packing and such.

But then came the day the ceiling collapsed. Apparently a pipe in the toilet had a small hole and caused water to drip down the stairs. Somehow the leak slowly caused the ceiling on top of the staircase to drop. Thank God all of us were not at home when it happened. Someone's head could have been injured badly. Hrmph.

So, after the ceiling incident, we decided that we
MUST move out. We must find a nice place to spend the year in. We had to.

Thank God, Aliaa found a nice apartment which was convenient for all of us, so we moved.
=0)

A month after all the hassle of moving out, and moving into the new place, I can safely say that we have settled down in this nice apartment, and we have managed to put the dreadful drama behind us.

And then came the call.

We were asked to go to the Islington Council to meet up with someone to give our statements regarding our 'drama' last year. They needed our statements to make a case against our ex-landlord. Never have I thought I would be in a position to give a formal statement to be used in court. Har har.

So anyway, Debbie - the person who works with the council, took our statements, made us sign them, and asked for us to be present at the hearing next month. Can you believe it? Aliaa and I will have to go to court. And see our ex-'landlord'! Eeek! Scary the mary!

But anyways, hopefully after next month the drama will be over. And hopefully the judge can
kindly ask our previous landlord to pay back the money she owes us.

Doakan untuk kami?

Oh, here are some pictures I'd like to share with you.
=0)

My Statement!

My new room! (
And Aliaa's supposedly..)

...Aliaa's 'room'! (
Supposed to be the lounge, hehe)

Apai's messy room!

Oh, and check out what I saw on a form in the Islington Council office :
(Please focus at the gender column)

I doubt I'll ever see that in Malaysia. Hehe.

Alhamdulillah
I deserve a warm welcome back to the cyberworld. Finally I have internet access at home. *pats back*

I have a lot to be thankful for.

I am thankful for staying in a nice apartment on Edgware Road with my dearest brother and Aliaa. The house is cozy, and I think the newly arrived internet modem completes the place. Alhamdulillah.

I am thankful for having sufficient amount of time in between classes, because I think I am more productive in my studies this year than I was last year. Although I still think I am behind, I feel confident. This year seems to be better.

I am thankful for my dear friends, near or far. I know I have not been around much, and I haven't been much of a 'friend', but I'm glad you're still with me. The small texts you send are mostly appreciated. You always put a smile to my face. Be it 3am in the morning. =0)

I am thankful for Him. I am trying to improve myself, and I hope He'll accept me with open arms.

I am thankful for my family. Although I am thousands of miles away, I always feel their warmth. They are the ones who give me the silent support I need. And they know I give them mine. Alhamdulillah all huge headaches and heartaches are slowly fading away.

I am thankful to my school for recognizing my efforts last year. Nobody said actuarial science was going to be easy, but Alhamdulillah I am surviving. Well, thanx to actuarial science, hopefully I can bring the family to Bali next Summer. =0)

I am thankful.

Hidup bagai...?
Thousands have written about 'life' and its perks, or its downhill slopes for that matter. Millions more have read, and claim that the hardships and glorification of life is well understood. But do we really understand?

Do we truly understand the hardships of life? Are exams really worth being stressed about? Is loneliness really impossible to endure for a long period of time? Do we really have to be liked or loved by everyone? Do we really have to try?

I don't know. I don't think I'll ever know. And you wouldn't know either.

Don't you just like the feeling when you feel like everything is crumbling, but you know by next week or next month, it'll all go away?

Let me tell you a secret --

It never goes away.

Back to School, for the last time.
So, I have finally gone through my first week of class! Yes, my week ends on Thursday, and to add more to your misery, I am also free on Wednesdays. Har har! So, only classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays for me this year! Oh, and all three of those days are only half-days. ;0)

I've got so much to tell! Ok, firstly SELAMAT HARI RAYA! Raya fell on Tuesday over here, so I had to ponteng my 2nd day of class. Har har. But oh so unlucky me, I had a fever on Monday - an abnormal fever was how Jefriman put it. So on Tuesday, I forced myself to beraya, and yeay I had a nice one! With Apai here, I guess things seem different. =0)

Oh, yes. Apai's here! My brother is over here for two years to complete his studies in UEL. So, that's one more exciting news. At least I have family close for my final year breakdowns, har har.

Oh, and we have a new house! Aliaa and I have been soooo unlucky for the past 10 months. =0( In addition to the house drama we went through last term, the ceiling to our previously 'new' house collapsed a week after I got back to London. Gila menakutkannnnn. But yeay to us, we have a newer new place just behind Edgware road Bakerloo Station which we will hopefully open soon for a Raya cum Housewarming celebration!! Yeayness! =0)

And, third year so far looks heavy. But somehow my spirits are high. =0) I hope this giddy feeling lasts until my exams!

So, yeay to me! A good kick start to the new year! =0)

Anyhus,

SELAMAT HARI RAYA!
Maaf Zahir & Batin.
