Yameen's Crap

Surprise surprise!

I don't think I have ever planned a surprise for anyone, so I can't really judge how good a surprise is. But I think the one Hadi did for me last night was...wow. =0)

On monday, he told me he wanted to 'chop' me for Wednesday night. By 'chop'-ing, he hoped that I will not make plans with anyone else and leave that night free. I found it weird that he wanted to 'chop' me so early, but I just said yes, thinking that he might want to bring me out to dinner somewhere just to do something out of the ordinary.

So, he brought me all the way up to Kentish Town around 6-ish, telling me that some of his friends told him about this new amazing restaurant there. On the way to the so-called 'restaurant', I saw a long queue outside Forum. Seeing that a lot of people were streaming in the concert hall with exctied faces, I was curious to find out who was performing that night.

"Look! Ada concert la tonight! Do you know who's performing? I dah lama tak check out concerts."

Instead of answering my question with a simple Yes or No, he smiled. He kept on smiling, and dragged me towards the long queue. While walking towards the end of the line, with a clueless face I popped up so many stupid questions -- Is the restaurant behind here? Are you searching for a friend? Where are we going?

At the end of the line, he made me stand in the queue, and pulled out two tickets for One Republic's concert. While I was staring blankly at the tickets he smiled and said, "This is where I wanted to bring you."

And oh my God, the concert was superb. I've already seen One Republic live during SingFEST last August, but watching them perform for their own concert was superb. It was definitely a fantastic concert. Ryan Tedder is a superb singer, superb performer. Sumpah amazed. =0D

Thank you for the surprise Bie. =0) =0)

One picture to complete the post. Sorry if the band is barely visible, we were quite far from the stage. And excuse the quality, it's from Hadi's handphone. =0P Whatever it is, I hope you can see how beautiful the stage was, complete with lamps and a majestic chandelier. Superb.

Kak Yamin pi Londen?

So, Apai left for London this morning. Papa and I just called Hadi a few minutes ago to check up on Apai's arrival in London Heathrow. I think I saw Papa slightly smiling after listening to Apai's cheerful voice. Haha. Apai's safe in London, everyone. No need to worry about turbulances anymore. =0)

And, I'll be leaving Malaysia tomorrow night. So, after saying our goodbyes at the airport, Apai and I will reunite after 45 hours being apart. And Hadi and I will reunite after 16 days apart. =0)

Annyyhuuss, just to let you know. It is NOT EASY to explain to a 3 year old girl why she wouldn't be seeing much of you in the next 9 months. And it's even HARDER to explain why Abang Hadi is not around much anymore, and why Abang Apai would also be gone. All she understands is, "Kakak Yamin, Abang Apai dengan Abang Hadi pegi Londen." Haha.

Urm, one thing. Auntie Sue please don't forget to sebut my name to Aleeya every morning and show her my picture every day, just to make sure she doesn't forget her pretty cousinnnn. =0P

Okay people. Let's all get geared up! Let's attack my final year in Actuarial Science together! Woopdeedoo!!!!
