Coulda Woulda Shoulda
"I'd rather be a could-be
if I can't be an are.

Because a could-be is a maybe
who is reaching for the star.

I'd rather be a has-been
than a might-have-been by far.

For a might-have-been has never been
but a has was once an are."

So, I'm done with my exams. Yahoo...

Well, let's concentrate on the future shall we?

I feel it all

Leslie Feist is AMAZING.

Amidst all my 'studying', I spared one night away from the books just for Feist. I was supposed to watch her perform live in Scala somewhere in Sept 2007, but due to some technical difficulties, the tickets were sold out before I managed to get hold of them. That was a sad month. Lucky for me, London is LONDON, and she decided to come again, and lucky me, she decided to perform in the Royal Albert Hall.

Since the hall was full with seats with no standing ground available, I had to buy tickets as fast as I could to avoid being chuck waaayy up theeerree. So I bought the tickets on the day they were released, hoping to get good seats in the hall, because believe me, The Royal Albert is really huge! Lucky me, I got side seats, which were roughly 20-metres away from the stage, which was just great.

But honestly, the seats didn't matter. There were roughly 8000 people in the hall, and no matter where they were seated, Feist blew all of us away. Her performance was superb, and her 'backdrop' was so interesting. Her colourful-sillhouette-sand art animations were just amazing. Amazing.

She opened with one of my favourites from her old album - When I Was a Young Girl. The moment she started singing, Faisal and I couldn't help but notice how cute she was on stage. She was so passionate, swaying her hair from side to side, clicking her heels together to the beat, trotting all around the stage. Oh My God she was amazing.

Her voice was so beautiful, I had goosebumps all through the show. She played most of her songs from The Reminder, which I knew by heart. I sang along and just enjoyed every single moment of it.

Feist managed to make me so happy, and managed to overshadow my sorrow of Chelsea losing to MU last night. Feist was AMAZING.

Thanx to Faisal for agreeing to accompany me at such short notice. Thanx for being my only Feist fan friend, and a Liverpool fan. Haha.

commiserations on your lost. i kinda expected the mancs to win, even though i was favouring chelsea, by just a little. but the fact that it's been drawn out to sudden death penalty shows that it was a tough fight.

p.s.: i still hate drogba. (^^,)

Sleeping to dream
I've been having weird dreams lately. And the funny thing about them is that all of them include someone from my highschool. Even KA and Cikgu Abu were in one of my dreams, haha.

My dreams were so random, I was tempted to google the meanings of each of them, because google is of course the place to find the answers you need. I would love to tell you my dreams and hear your comments about them, but I fear that I might take your interpretation of my dreams to heart, and I foresee that would be no good for me. Haha.

I find it magical that dreams can make you feel so much, even though all that happened was far from reality. I find it magical that dreams can bring the people you haven't seen in ages so close to you. Hmm.

May you have beautiful dreams tonight.

For you.
"May we never let the things we can't have, or don't have, or shouldn't have, spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it, for one of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

-Richard L Evans - extracted from 'Speaker's Sourcebook II, Glen Van Ekeren, Prentice Hall, 1994-

I hope you can be the strong person I have always known you to be, because the strong you is the you who deserves everything. Love you. =0)

UiTM to start blogging courses
SHAH ALAM: Malaysians interested in blogging may soon be able to take up courses on the subject at Universiti Teknologi Mara.

Its vice-chancellor, Datuk Seri Prof Dr Ibrahim Abu Shah, said the university was ready to help prospective bloggers become more credible in their reporting.

He said blogging was different from traditional media, which required reporters to have academic qualifications.

"Anyone can become a blogger now," he told reporters after a seminar here yesterday.

But this did not mean bloggers could write about anything, as they first needed to master several aspects of writing, such as language, ethics and accuracy of reporting.Ibrahim said he supported any proposal to offer courses on blogging and that it was the most suitable time to do so.

"We know bloggers are intelligent, but we want to help them be more professional."

Earlier in his speech, Ibrahim said the function of traditional media had changed with the arrival of new media, which he said focused more on the younger generation.

He added that people saw new media as an avenue through which they could express themselves and speak their minds.

what does he mean anyone can become a blogger now??????!!!!!!!

oi! you ignoramus, anyone has always been able to be a blogger! just bloody register on a website!

if people nak learn language, ethics and accuracy of reporting take a journalism course.
otherwise i can't see a reason for a blogging course unless it's to teach them how to get onto the internet and register on a blogging site and how to use the various interface in the different sites.

sorry. i just get really worked up when it comes to stupid ideas.

Back to Reality
Done with Contingencies! Woopdeedoooo!

And guess what happened right after the paper? A super crazy throbbing headache came attacking me. It was probably due to the freaking heat (which all of us are happy for, Alhamdulillah..), or maybe because I used too much energy for Contingencies (because I had to give it MY ALL!), or maybe just because the body was telling me to stop, and sleep. It was time for Yameen to have a break. So, as soon as I arrived home, I slept.

And lucky me, Aliaa made Soto Ayam for dinner, yum yummmmm!

And we watched America's Next Top Model! Yahoo!

And later that night I went to watch my heart-throb -- Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man with Hadi! Woohoo!

But today, I realised, no more Soto Ayam, no more ANTM, no more movie dates.

I have to come back to reality. I have to prepare myself for the probability of more nasty headaches coming.

Next paper is on Tuesday. I have to go back to studying.

Cis.
