Be Strong
Be strong, you.

I read Mama's text this morning, and throughout the day, all I can think about is you. And her. The little cute her.

Oh how I wish I am home. I want to be there. Just to be there with you two.

I want to be home.
Now.
Somehow I think, I am the one in need of strength right now.
And where else to get it from, other than from home.

Love Love.

On life and education.
"No one believes their life is going to turn out just kind of okay. We all think we’re going to be great, and we feel a little bit robbed when our expectations aren’t met; but sometimes our expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. You gotta wonder why we cling to our expectations; because the expected is just what keeps us steady, standing still. The expected is just the beginning; the unexpected is what changes our lives.”
-Dr. Meredith Grey--

Most of you are either currently going through your education years, or already have gone through the torture. But most of us will go through it, at least once in our lives. Why? Because we are expected to be educated.

We are expecting our education to ensure a brighter future for us all. We expect to have a good life which to many people mainly comes in the form of a good job and good wealth. And with those two, the chances of us having a good family is high. Which is also a main element in the 'good life' wanted by us all.

The unexpected will definitely disturb our dreams and expectations, but the unexpected will not necessarily leave us in the drain. The unexpected may surpass our original expectations, and give us a much better life than what was expected in the first place.

Oh how I wish the unexpected to come now and beat all the expectations put upon me.

I dah malas dah ni. Bilakah zaman sekolahku nak berakhir.

Bbbbaaaaahhhh..................!!

I had to quit.
Jeff and Rafie are cycling to Brighton tomorrow.

And I am not. =0(

When Jeff suggested the idea to me on my birthday, I answered him with an immediate yes. I was probably stupid because I did not consider all the necessary things needed to be considered before agreeing to cycle for 5/6 hours non-stop to Brighton, but I still said yes. And I never once thought of revoking my decision. I wanted to go. For myself, and for Papa.

Papa always wanted to cycle for long distances - there was an idea of cycling from Kedah to Johor. He always talked about these trips, and his words made me interested in doing all these 'lasak' outdoor stuff. So when Jeff was fishing for people to go with him, I assured him that I would go. Yes I will. And, yes I can.

But towards the day itself, I received numerous doubtful remarks.

At least 2 people tried to talk me OUT of it.
At least 3 guys laughed at me, because they were confident that I couldn't do it.
At least 4 times I felt so belittled. By who, I refuse to mention.

Oh, I was so determined to prove them wrong.

But five courseworks and this whole 'house-moving' business are forcing me to stay put.

My priorities are making me quit.

Damn it.

I am sad not because I can't prove them wrong.
But mostly because I can't prove myself right.

Hey Yams, please don't feel sad. Take it this way, the moment you agreed, you didn't know you're gonna have this much of workloads (and I literally mean MUCH. Not in quantity, but the amount of stress they bring you). On your mind, it was just long-weekend-and-why-not-go-cycling. The courseworks came AFTER you said yes.

Same goes to your house hunting.

Of course, if you go, and able to accomplish all other priorities, you prove yourself right. But it doesn't mean you prove yourself wrong if you don't go. We plan, He decides. Plus we can do this some other MORE SUITABLE time ok?

Cheer up! =)

ps/ Cycling at your territory is so ON. We must!

Kisah Roti Jala dan sebagainya
I was hanging out at Hadi's, having the usual 'extra-sweet' cup of tea along with freshly fried french toast while looking at Hadi drawing weird looking Chinese characters which he had to remember for his Mandarin exam. Ignoring the fact that he was studying, =0P, I asked for sugar, because that is how Mama and I eat french toast back at home. Hadi thought it was a bit odd to mix 'eggs' with 'sugar', but after trying he agreed that the combined taste is not so bad after all.

And then our roti jala conversation begun.

I mentioned how I miss eating the stuff which are only at home which of course includes the mostly missed delicacy - DURIAN, dan kuncu-kuncunya i.e. kuah durian, dodol bla bla bla.... And I mentioned how I miss eating kuah durian with roti jala.

His response : 'Siapa makan roti jala dengan kuah durian?!?!?'

I looked up to him, and said 'SEMUA ORANG!'

Yes, I know roti jala is usually eaten with kari ayam with kentang, but roti jala is best eaten with KUAH DURIAAAANNN!!!!!! Hadi argued, and insisted that I am a weirdo for eating roti jala with kuah durian. So we asked Jeff if he has ever heard of anyone eating roti jala with kuah durian.

Jeff didn't even know what kuah durian was. Haha.

We asked Bijan if he has heard of such a thing. Note that Bijan is from Shah Alam. To my relief, Bijan supported me and also insisted that eating roti jala with kuah durian is a normal thing. Not weird at all.

Hadi suddenly wanted to conclude that roti jala + kuah durian was a 'Shah Alam' thing, and kept on saying how kampung Shah Alam was. Ehem. Compare Shah Alam with Kuantan please? Hahhahahahaha.. Kiddinnngggggggg...!! =0P

And guess what he did to further prove me that I was a weirdo? He asked a whole bunch of people on his messenger the magical question : 'Makan roti jala dengan apa?'

Out of the 40 people he asked, at most 5 said they have eaten roti jala with kuah durian. AT MOST FIVE.

Oh my God, terkejut gila I! I was brought up believing that roti jala was MAINLY eaten with kuah durian, and kari was just the kuah used when durians were not in season. I was reaaalllyy shocked to know that I am a member of the minority, and I am even more shocked knowing that there are those out there who have never even tasted roti jala with kuah durian. Terkejut gila kot!! Try asking Papa, or Puan, or whoever in my family!!! We all eat roti jala with kuah duriaaaannn!!!

Siapa kata Malaysia kecik? If we can have different ways of eating roti jala, that shows how diverse we are ey?

People. Korang yang tak pernah makan roti jala with kuah durian, you have missed out on tasting THE BEST DELICACY IN THE WORLD. Percayalah. Next time durians are around, go find roti jala to eat them with. Sumpah sedap nak mampos.

Oh. New random question. Have you guys ever heard of Roti Kahwin? Itu pon ada long story disebaliknya. Haha.

Report oh report
I've been working on my report for ages now.

The thing is, it's not that its hard to do or confusing or anything, but I think I am taking hours to finish this four page report because the laptop just has tooo many distractions!!!! I think reports should be written by hand, so that when you sit down to write the report, you actually WRITE the report. Let me list down the programmes which are currently on my laptop right now :

1. Microsoft Word : For report typing purposes
2. Microsoft Excel : For data calculations purposes
3. Histogram of Residuals - Windows Internet Explorer : For research purposes
4. Windows Live Messenger : For instant e-mail checking purposes
5. eenamir@yahoo.com - Conversation and aza - Conversation : For current updates about the family
6. Facebook Home - Windows Internet Explorer : For updates on photo tags and wall posts
7.Windows Media Player : For entertainment purposes
8. Blogger - Creat Post : For updating you lot about me....

Haih. Kelengkapan technology ini sangat diperlukan untuk menyiapkan report, tetapi sungguh melembabkan progres melengkapkan report tersebut.

I need to FOCUSSSSS!

Dancing with Wolves by Kalimullah Hassan
ONE evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about the eternal battle that goes on inside people.

He said: “My boy, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

“One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

“The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, tolerance, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The boy thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee replied: “The one you feed.”

That piece was taken from an article on NST.com.my regarding the elections tomorrow. Those of you who are voting, feed the wolf you think deserve to be fed. Good luck.

As for me, I won't be voting. But I am hoping for the judges of Face Off 2008 to vote for City Uni Dance Team to win tomorrow!! Wish us luck! =0)
