FYA
I just finished my last dance performance for this academic year! The Festival of Youth Arts (FYA) is on in London this week, and the dance category for the festival was held in Stratford for the whole day. There were dance workshops from morning until the afternoon, and at the end of the day each dance company had to perform. THE COMPANY (which is my dance company's name by the way =0P) performed a wicked mix! It is the longest mix we've performed so far, and it is my favourite! Sukaa!

Masa our sound check, ada someone watched us dance, and later he actually invited us to perform for some dance-competition-event thingy. Yassmin said it is a huge event, and being invited by the artistic director himself is kinda a big thing, innit? I punya la excited gila, but malangnya, the event is on the 18th of June. =0( I won't be here! But takpela. I am still bangga with the fact that our company was personally invited to perform in a huge event! The Company ROCKKS!

This has to be mentioned - the dance company which performed the last performance of the day was SICCCKKKK!! (Btw, sick means VERY ULTIMATELY SPECTACULAR! It's slang over here.) I'm sorry I don't know their company name, and now I menyesal tak amik the Programme Booklet for the night, but their performance was REALLY WICKEDDD!!! Gempak gila okkaayy!! Their choreography was heavy, their dancers were actually 'performing' as opposed to 'just moving' themselves, and the whole flow of their performance was SICKK. Oh btw, did I mention that these lot are only around 9-15 years old? Their dancemoves didn't look it at all!! They really danced like professionals I tell you! They danced with their whole heart dedicated to the show!! It was really SICCCCKK!!!! GEMPAK GILAAAA!!!!!!!! Suka gila okaayy!!

Kids here are really given the support to do non-academic related stuff in their free time, and I envy that! =0P

Anyhuu, one more thing that has to be noted -

I REALLY ENJOY DANCE!

Gonna miss these people during the Summer.

Yassmin and Yazmin. =0)

Some from The Company during one of the workshops

More of The Company

Naomi, Janel, Yameen

Jessica, Remy, Yameen

The weird LONG one : Nairon, Yameen

No worries though. I'm sure I'm gonna be back to seeing these people a lot once Summer ends. =0)

I miss my violin
I started playing the violin in Form 1, and was in KYS's Orchestra in Form 3. I still remember my first performance, it was at Istana Budaya. We performed for Tun Mahathir, he was the Prime Minister at that time. I was such a baby member, but performing with an instrument in hand on stage together with 90 others in such an extravagant hall was such a thrill.

You can ask any KYS orchestra member of any year, and I bet you no-one would say they hated being in the orchestra. Maybe some may have 'disliked' Ms Judy - our Music Director, but nobody would have chosen not to be in the orchestra if they were offered to. The experience and memories of being in the orchestra were priceless.

Man, I miss those orchestra days.

I don't think I will ever be a part of any other orchestra in the years to come. I've never really been a 'great' violinist, I am probably only qualified for KYS's orchestra. =0P But whatever it is, I've always enjoyed playing the violin. And right now, I miss my violin.

I wanna go home.

One of my proudest moments

Advo orchestra members. Our last performance, in Terengganu.

Opu is the one playing the double bass on the right. Yes, the one hidden behind the bass. =0P

Keep Breathing
Four done. Three more. *sigh* Penat laa.

To all you curious lads, I am still alive. It's that exam time of the year, sorry.

I have been shutting myself out from everyone because of these exams, which is weird. I have of course not been blogging, have not been online much on MSN, have not even used the telephone -- either for SMS-ing or calls and definitely have not been going out for lunches or dinners or movies or whatever. Papa called yesterday, asking where I have been because it has been ages since I last called home. After his call, I realised that me not calling home is weird, because usually when I am in the midst of exams, I'd call home more than 5 times a day just to get that extra feel of comfort from papa and mama. But I haven't called home. Not for the past week or so. Which is REALLY weird for a gedik-manja little girl like me.

Why have I been gone, really? I have never really been a 'midnight oil burner'. All you girl advos who have been in the same dorm as me know that I am not really a stay-up and study until tomorrow morning kind of girl, and I am still not. I am not really one of those rajin hit-the-books two months before exams kind of girl either. And I am not really that kind of girl who would lock herself up in her room and study until her brain's cracked up or something.

What have I been doing?

Watching too much TV series maybe? Haha. Entahla.

Can't wait to get exams over with, though. I am feeling that geram-jealous feeling knowing that Alyaa, Alia Ishak, Mudha, and Apu have finished their exams. Can't wait to be worry-free. *sigh*

For the time being,
"All that I know is I'm breathing.
All I can do is keep breathing.
All we can do is keep breathing now."
-Ingrid Michaelson : Keep Breathing-

FA Cup Joy for Chelsea
"Chelsea have beaten Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final with a Didier Drogba goal in extra-time to complete an FA Cup and Carling Cup double."

Sorry IJAT, MUDHA, LUKMAN, WAZIEN, WEE HAW, YUMNESH, ALIA ISHAK, HADI, and all you who were 'blinded' to support Man U, the FA Cup is ours.

As quoted from chelseafc.com :

'We are the domestic Cup kings.'

P/S : Sorry for the lack of updates, I am busy with exams. But this post is of course necessary. =0)

hehe.. that's only the joyful part..
then there's the torturous anticipation
and the sting of defeat.
someone said: 'football is more important than life and death to you'
to which bill shankly replied: 'listen, it's more important than that'
or as coca-cola puts it: makan bola, tido bola... hehe
