Stress Season
Yes indeed it is The Stress Season.

Probably because it's almost end of the term, and all courseworks have to be handed in around this time, and being a person who always leave stuff like this to be done near their respective deadlines, I was stuck in the ultimate stress zone. Ahah. There's only myself to blame.

Actually, I only have two courseworks which are due around this time. One was submitted yesterday, and the other due next week. Yesterday's was the one that made me feel like killing myself. Stupid probability crap. Yea yeahhh.. I know my course evolves around that particular subject, but still.... Tak suka.. Ish.

The other one is an Economics essay. Ha. Ha. I haven't written an essay in months.. =0P Good luck to me for that one. Anyway, it's a group thingy. So the burden is not thatt heavy I guess.

Thanx to Papa + Mama for being so helpful during my stressful momentss... You guys know me well, I am the `Worrier`.. =0P Thanx to Alia for putting up with my stupid attitude.. Sayang you.. Thanx to the girls, especially Puteri, Opu, and Alyaa for the great night out. I needed it. =0) Love you girls so much.

Roughly I've been in London for 10++ weeks. That's like, two and a half months already? Wow. Honestly, it didn't feel long. I was actually shocked to find out that next week is my last week of the term. I mean, that's it? One term is only that long?? Thinking back, I can't believe I faced so many big things this year, which includes :

1. In February (I think) I recieved my AS results. Thank God that was a happy moment.

2. In March I had the MBOR kicking event with the FEARLESS Team. That was sooo much fun!
=0)

3.
In May
I went through my A2 Exams. That was stressful like crazy. (FYI, I did further maths. Gile.)

4. I had an eventful holiday after the exams.
=0)

5.
My A-Level results were out around August.(I think) That was a happy moment.
=0)

6. In September I flew to London! Which meant I had to part from family and friends. That was a mixture of both happy and sad emotions...

7. Also in September I started my uni life in London! And I'm enjoying every bit of it here..!

Hey, that's a lot of stuff in one year tau!

Every year like most people, I make my own 'New Year's Resolutions', and every year like most people I don't really follow them. =0P I don't really remember my resolutions for the year 2006 anymore, but I'm sure I wrote them down somewhere. Oh well. 2007 is coming already. I have to think of new resolutions for the new year.

Oh well. Resolutions, schmesolutions. All crap.

All I hope for 2007, is to be HAPPY.

2005 was my worst year. 2006 seems like a better year than the last. I hope 2007 will be much better.

Okay. Back to Econs.

The animals made my day..
I was having a bad day yesterday. My emotions were jumping all over the place. My 'kerinduan' to those in Malaysia almost made my eyes teary in class. *sigh* Everything was wrong. Coursework tak habis lagi, and I yang pemalas ni takde mood nak buat, of course. Bilik bersepah nak mampos, everything's everywhere. (Yes, girls can have their 'sepah' moments too..) In short, everythig was wrong.. Isshhh...

Lucky me, that night I didn't have to go back to my bersepah room and stare at the half-done courseworks I had on my table. I didn't have to listen to sappy songs over and over again. (Believe me, if I was alone in my room with all those emotions, I would have chosen stupid sappy songs which can 'kononnye' repair my feelings to be played over and over againnnn...) Lucky me, I had tickets to The Lion King.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The Musical was AWESOMMEEE!! Awesome-ness of the awesomee-est!!! Bagus Gileeeeee!!! The costumes, the moves, the props, the songs... The whole thing! It was super cool kayy!! SUPER-DUPER COOL!! I really had fun! Coolies gileee!!

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingAll of the actors and actresses really 'menjiwai' their animal characters.. Their facial expressions, their body movements, the tone of their voicesss... It was all really splendid.. I was really having fun, despite my original emotional condition. Seronok gileee!!! Honestly, initially I would think that this musical was some lame kiddie show, mainly because it's adapted from a Disney Cartoon moviee.. But I really wanted to go, sebab semua orang cakap the show is super-duper best, and I can tell ya that I soooo agree with everyone's opinion! It is super-duper besttt!!! AHahahhahAHA!!

My favourite characters in the whole show are the giraffes.. Ahahhahah!! I know, the giraffes haram tak cakap ape2 pon... And they barely appear throughout the show, but they look super-duper sleek and lawa! I suka gileee!! Can you see in the picture on the right that the giraffes are actually people on four stilts with a huge giraffe head on each of their heads? Coolies kannn!!! =0)

My favourite scene pulak is the stempede scene... Jadik gile kaayyy!!!! When that scene started, I was thinking in my head, how would they make a stempede happen on that stage? And I was really amazed!! Sebab lawa gile and jadik gilee!! Sorry to those who haven't watched it yet. I can't really describe to you how they did it, but it was awesomeee... Suka gile laaa kann!!!

Well, thanx to Aliya for inviting me and Alia to go. It was super-duper awesomeee... Love you guyssss so muchh!!!! I'm happy again! =0)
A cute picture to end the spectacular night.. =0)

23rd Nov 2006 Proverb from Daddy
"The worst thing one can do is not to try, to be aware of what one wants and not give in to it, to spend years in silent hurt wondering if something could have materialized - never knowing"
- Jim Rohn -

I should really try to implement the quotes daddy sends me in my real life. Ouch.

Papa, your words hit me right where it should without you knowing. Thanx for your daily quotes and words. They keep my brain working the way it's not expected to, and that's a good thing.

Mama, your words calmed me. Thank you.

I miss you guys too much. =0(

Warwick!
I'm determined to cover most of the UK during my three years here. I live in London. I went to Bristol last month. And last weekend, I went to Coventry (Warwick) and Birmingham! =0)

Of course, I took the Megabus to Coventry.(Thanx Mama!) I left late Friday night, because Mars had a singing competition, and it was more convenient for me to arrive late at night, after her whole singing thingy. After Mars and Opu picked me up at the bus stop, we went to TESCO to buy stuff for tomorrow morning's Nasi Goreng. Stepping into Coventry's HUGE TESCO reminded me of Shah Alam's TESCO. FYI, the TESCO in London (well, the one I've been to at least) is not as big as the one in Shah Alam. It's just the size of the supermarkets in the shopping malls in Malaysia. So, when the three of us were searching for the Nasi Goreng stuff in Coventry's TESCO, I remembered the weekly trips the family had to TESCO Shah Alam, because Coventry's TESCO is as big as Shah Alam's TESCO. Rindu la pulakk.. =0P

After grocery shopping, we headed to No.59 Highland Road - Mars' house! And Mars' house was actually a HOUSE! Not a flat, not an apartment, it was a HOUSE! I was sooo jealous! She has a big room to her own, a nice toilet, a living room with a television, and a very big and pretty kitchen! (Mind you, I say big comparative to the kitchens here in the UK..) Seronok gilee!!! It's actually a HOUSE house! I soooo want to stay in a house. I want a homee... My room in Finsbury can't be called a home, because it still has that feel of staying in a school dormitory. Tak bestt... Oh well, one more term to go, and I'll find my own home!

Malam tu we stayed up, and had our girly-sleepover-late-night talks.. Hahahha... We decided to watch Anastasia, but all three of us ended up sleeping somewhere in the movie.. The next morning after waking up, we actually tried to figure out at which part of the movie each of us dozed off. Hahahha!! Mengarut gila la kaann!! Okay, anywayyy... We bangun awal, made nasi goreng for the whole house, which apart from the three of us were Dira, Sheryl, Fazura and Wani. Then all of us sat in front of the TV and had a pleasant Saturday breakfast! It felt so nice eating breakfast in front of the TV in our PJs.. Rinduu rumahh.. =0P

Later, after we took our showers and all, Opu, Mars and I went to Coventry! We went shopppiiinnngggg!!! AHahhahahah!!! And apparently that day, there was a sort of carnival thingy at that area. There were rides for kiddies, a Ferris Wheel, and a performance on stage. The performance was a group of Indians playing their instruments. Menarik gak ahh..
And of course there were tonnes of food stalls around! And they were all so scrumptiousss!! Opu had chocolate covered strawberries, I bought these super sedap donutsss, and the three of us bought these comel small pancakess... Ya Allahh.. Sedap gileee... Tengok gambar-gambar nihh..
Sedap Gileeeee...

We spent the whooolllee day shoppingggg... Then, balik rumah Mars, we played around with the stuff we bought.. Well, actually me and Opu played around with the stuff we bought.. =0P
Yameen : "No where to run Opu! I GOTCHAA!!"
Opu in a gedik tone: "Oh noooo!! Yameen's got me!!"

Lepas all the main-main, believe it or not, all three of us hit the books. I studied FAIM, Opu did some reading, Mars did her coursework. Heh.. We are resposible students taauuu.. We allocate time to shop, play and study proportionately... =0P

Sunday morning, we woke up early and went to Birmingham! Ahaha, one more city covered! We went by train, which was my first time. Birmingham isn't that far from Coventry, it's just 15-20 mins away.. Pastu kat Birm, shopping lagiiii... Shopping in Birm was super fun, mainly coz that particular shopping area is so big! Everything is in one area! Best gile ahh! But then, we didn't really spend much time there, because Warwick MSA was going to have an X-Raya-Vali celebration, and Mars, the Presidentt had to be there early to make sure stuff goes well... Well, we didn't need to spend a lot of time there punn.. =0P Just enough time to explore the shops in Birm, ad take a few picturesss..
In front of Bull Ring Mall
The three of us in Birm!

We got back form Birm in a car! FYI, that's my frst time riding a car in the UK. Mars' friend had a car, so he drove us back to Coventry. Sampai rumah, lepak2 jap, then we went to Warwick Uni for the XRV Celebration! The celebration was ccoollll!! Ada a few great performances, including Mars and Dira's! =0) Then there was this auctioning thingy. Wait, before I explain, let me state first that this dinner is for charity. So, they were auctioning off people as 'slaves'. These slaves will cook, clean, or do something stupid for money. There was this one guy who offerred to wax off his hairy legs, arms, and even his eyebrows! And he actually did it there and then!! Freaky gile kaayy!!

I wish I could put pictures of the XRV Celebration, but I don't have them now.. =0P Sooo, maybe laterr..

Malam after the XRV thingy, Opu and I cooked Maggi goreng, coz we were still hungry even though we ate nasi lemak. Well, the sambal was tooo pedassss.. So, makan sikit je.. Apparently, our Maggi goreng malam tu smelt good, sampai evryone in the house came down, sebab bau sedapp..!! AHahha!! Well, I had a great time in No.59. Thanx to all you people in the house! And a special thanx to Mars for having me over! Thanx for bringing me and Opu around, it was a great weekend!
Love you loadz Marsy-Poo-Poo!!

Rumah Terbukaaa!!!
I've been hopping around London going to everyone's open house, it's about time I had mine, innit? But theennnn, I live in halls. Alia and I each can't bring in more than two people at a time. Well, fret not, that's not an obstacle! How to have an open house with only four guests you ask? Solution : The guests have to take turns!! AHahah!!

Last Friday, Alia and I cooked for Mudha, Omar, Idzwan and Neena! Guess what I made.. (Orang yang selalu datang rumah I kat Msia dulu would know the answer.. =0P) I made lasagne!!! Alia cooked ayam masak lemak and sambal telur and sayuran.... Sedap dooowwhhh... But then, last week my tummy was upset. =0( So, macam tak boleh nak makan banyak sangat... But, all in all, it was a great success!! Yayyy!!!
Idzwan, Me, Omar, Neena, Mudha and Alia in the kitchen after finish eating and doing the dishes! Ahahah!

Next guests were Apu, Norman and Bizzy Biz! Diorang baru datang tadi.. This time, I cooked Kari Ayam!!! Sedap gileee, tak tipu!! Mama, I think I got your hands in making Kari Ayam... You know how much I love your kari.. AHhaha... Alia made sambal udang and sayur.. Sedap gileee.. This time, I ate A LOT!! Puas makan!!! Kenyang gileeeeee.....
Clockwise : Norman Gila yang tengah main guitar, Apu, Me, Alia, and Bizzy Bizzz melepak in Alia's room after dinnerr... =0P

Kesimpulannya, Alia and I are great hosts.. Ahahhah!! MAsuk bakul angkat sendiri.... =0P But then, orang lain yang nak harap kitorang masak, buat appointment awal-awal ehh... As Norman said, Alia and I have this habit of planning these 'gatherings' macam nak buat kenduri kahwin.. Tak boleh nak plan last minute! =0P And, we may turn down your request, coz Alia and I are becoming busier and busier by dayyy... (Don't worry Opu... I'll definitely cook for you nantiiii... For you I willll.... )

I enjoy being the host! Seronok! =0)

Emosi terumbang-ambing.
I was terribly sick on Wednesday night. And following that, my tummy's been wrong, causing my whole body to feel weird. Makan tak boleh, tak makan tak boleh. Tak faham la badan ni.

I had a few courseworks to be submitted in the week, but on Monday, not even one has been attempted. My bad. Lucky me they weren't that stressful. But still, it did cause a hint of stress la. Could have avoided it if only I started it earlier. My bad.

Ramai orang janji nak call, tapi tak call-call poooonnn.. Well, eijas did. Ali did. Mama + papa did. Thank youuuu... I needed familiar voices.. Yang lain?

Been emotional about 'not meeting the family until next year'. The emotions probably arised because evryone else's parents or siblings or someone who can be called 'family' is coming to visit this Christmas. Or they are going back to Malaysia during that few weeks of holidays. =0( I tanak balik Malaysia so soon. And I understand why none of my family members are coming, but I just feel sad about it.

Been emotional about other stuff too. Gerammmm.

Because of all this, I've been a kebab in my duvet most of the weekend. Nasib baik Apu ngan Norman buat open house. Kalau tak, I might have stayed as a kebab the whole weekend. Bleehh.. I think all these problems will go away once my tummy is well. Mama suruh pergi doctor. So is the doctor my magic person who will make evrythng go away?

I need new songs. Those who are online, can you just send me any song through MSN or send them in an email?

FYI, having one emotional song playing over and over again while being wrapped up in your duvet and having all these emosi terumbang-ambing does not help.

Wicked weekend!
My weekend was indeed wicked, but I must say Opu's was worst. I think she spent most of the weekend in a bus travelling from one place to another.. Hahahha!!!

Okay. Back to the weekend. Hari Jumaat Opu sampai from Bristol. She stayed at my place from Friday till Monday. Malam dia sampai London kitorang pi makan dinner kat Leicester Square. Lepak2 lameeee gilleeeeee, we only arrived back in my room at 2.45am. And imagine, we were departing to Nottingham for Notts Games at 4am!! Hahah!! So, balik2, Opu terus mandi and I konon-kononnye tido kejap. =0P Lepas tu mandi2, siap2, we walked to Northampton Square at 4am. Pagi tu sejuukkkkkk gile la kaann.. I wore four layers of clothing yet I was freezing cold! Ahahha!! Anywaayy, the City Uni team (plus Opu) departed London at 4.30am. Atas bus, of course semua tidddoooo.....

We arrived in Nottingham around 8 something la kot. The football and netball teams had to go off before the 'Opening Ceremony' coz their venues were far outside the campus. So, dlm hall tu tinggal orang2 yang tak main ape2, like me, and orang2 yang main indoor games. Okay. Wait. Lemme elaborate more about this whole event first.

Nottingham Games is an event gathering all Malaysian students studying in the UK to play and compete each other in all sorts of games. The games played this year were Football, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Snooker, Chess, and Scrabble. There was actually a swimming event, and I was supposed to represent City in swimming, but it was cancelled! AHha! =0P So, I went there only as a supporter for City, and probably a supporter for some other Unis as well. Ahahhaha....

Sooo, pagi2 buta tu ade opening ceremony in the hall. Ade la some minister bagi speech, but obviously I couldn't be bothered. Baik I amik gamba kaann... =0P
Apu, Alia, Me, Syaleen, n Opu.

The ministers. Dato Mustapa Mohammed, our Minister of Higher Education is the one giving the speech. Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, our Minister of Education is the one on the far right. Sorry, yang lain tak ingat. =0P

Okay, after the opening ceremony, Sue, Opu and I pi jalan-jalan cari makan. Food was being sold in the Portland Building. Kene naik shuttle bus nak pi building tu. Sambil tunggu bus, of course Sue, Opu and I had to take gedik pictures.. Ahaha!!
Okay. In this picture, I sorang je gedik.. Ahah!

We had nasi lemak and some kuih-muihs. (Oh how I miss food kat Malaysiaaa...) Then chit-chat chit-chat jap, seperti biase. Lepas tu baru kitorang pi football pitch. The place was huge! They had like 16 games simultaneously! Kat situ, jumpa la lagi ramai orang of course. Borak2 seperti biase. Yada yada yadaa..

Then, later that afternoon, I pi Sports Centre pulak, purposely to jumpa Eddy and support dia main basketball. Borak2 ngan dia lama gilee. FYI, he's in Edinburgh, so memang akan jarang gila jumpa die in the UK. Jumpa kat Malaysia je la kot.. Eddy.. Eddyy.. Asal gedik sangat pi study jauh-jauhh... Ishh...
Me and Eddy

Anyway, after Eddy finished with his basketball, we went to the Portland Building, coz Eddy was hungry. It was around 5.00pm at that time, but it was already dark. And the food hall was closed, because they wanted to prepare the hall for Notts' Raya Open House which was on later that night. Kesian Eddy, tak dpt makan. So kitorang lepak2 kat luar. Borak-borak dan borak, as usual. The final game for Netball, Football and Basketball were going on at the Sports Centre when I was at the Portland Building. But, I malas nak hop on another bus just to watch the match, and then hop back on another bus for dinner at the Portland Building. So, Eddy, Opu, Sue, Rezza and I just stayed there, borak-borak while waiting for dinner.

The closing ceremony started at 8.00pm, probably. Lambat gile. Everyone squashed into the hall, waiting for food. But of course the Ministers had to give speeches, so dinner was delayed a bit. Anyway, the results of the games were announced. Surprisingly, City Uni won 3 gold medals!!! Bangga gile okaayy!! Mase they announce City Uni, I was clapping and shouting like mad! City Uni punye MSoc dahla sikit orang, and City Uni is soooo not knownnn. At least our name got announced as winners three times... Ahahahh... Seronok gilee.. As Zijian said, City Uni won 20% of the gold medals.. Bangga siioott... Ahahahha..!!

I had a rushed dinner. Sempat amik makanan, but terpakse makan sambil jalan sebab we had to depart from the Portland Building at 8.30pm. In the bus, of course, semua orang tidur again.

Notts was indeed super fun! I met all the people I wanted to meet, and a lot more. Seronok la ada gathering macam nii. =0) But I believe it could've been better if I played something. Coz I only met people around, here and there. I didn't get to share a game with someone. You get what I mean? Ntahla. I just think it couldve been fun-ner playing something with people from other Unis. Wait. But then, tak dpt jumpa orang pulak kan? AHhaha. Ntahlaaa... Wteverr.. I had fun anywayy...

Okay. Enough about Saturday. Sunday pulak. Sunday, Opu and I woke up around 10/11 am. AHahah. We went to Abaang Azman's open house. Abang Azman works for Shell here. His house is big, cantik gile! Dapat makan soto, nasi impit + kuah kacang and kuih rayaa.. Yayayy...!!! =0) After lepak2 kat rumah Abang Azman tu, we went on to the Malaysian Hall. The Malaysian Student's Department had their open house dekat sana. Of course, makan lagiii. And of course met everyone again. Ahahah..!! Seronok seronokk..

I nak mention here, I wore PUAN's baju kebaya. FYI, Puan is my grandmother. She gave me this baju kebaya like years ago, but tak pernah pakai because it never really fit well before, and yesterday it did!! AHahahha!! Here are picturesss!!
Alia, Me and Opu. Kitorang semangat pakai baju kebaya/kurung!

Funny and Caring Seniors!!
Ahhaa! Finally me and Alia went to Apu + Norman's place to makaannn. That was the first time I have gone to someone's place where I didn't have to use my Oyster Card, coz their house was reachable by foot! (FYI, Oyster Card is like Touch n Go kat Msia, used to get around in London at a cheaper rate.) Seronok je pergi somewhere takyah bayar transportation.. Believe me, a HUGE chunk of my expenditure is spent on transportation.

Anyway, it was fun. Alia and I finally 'bonded' with our City seniors. =0P We chit chatted about everything possible. AHhaha. And, Norman's cooking is not baaaddd. Alia and I have yet to taste Apu's cooking. Will probably ask them for their cooking schedule (Yes, they have a cooking schedule. How cute.), and maybe the next time Alia n I go there will be when Apu cooks. I'm really curious to eat what that guy can cook.

Wait. I dont think I've mentioned about Apu in my blog before. I mean, other than that gambar Raya. Anyway, the best word to describe Apu - NGOK NGEK. Memang ngok ngek. Ish Apu nih. Wait, lemme quote something form Alia's blog. Kelakar gile.

"If we can vote in guiness of record for the most talkative person in the world, I'd definitely cross under Apu's name. Mamat ni cakap tak berenti-renti. He can go on and on and on and on and on and on about football, jambu, football, banggali, football, Amy AF, football, dan sebagainye. Hee. Yang Norman pulak satu topikk je sepanjang malam. Haha. Takpe Norman cuba lagi di masa hadapan."

AHhaha. Anyway, I had a great time. Thanx for welcoming us into your bujang home. I must point out that their home isn't as bersepah as one might expect a bujang home to be. Ahahhaah.

Norman, Yameen, Alia, Apu

Lastly, Selamat Hari Raya, from us in City University London. =0)
