Transport For London

Commuting in London is soooo easyyy.

I wanted to go to the University College of London, (UCL) on Saturday, but since my money supply was kinda limited, I tried to search for a cheaper way to go there other than using the tube. Aliaa, (Apai's girlfriend, not the Alia who's here with me. Don't get confused. Ahaha.) suggested that I take the bus. When she said that, I was thinking "The bus??". I would get sesat! I am very bad when it comes to buses. Nanti terlepas stop la, terlepas bus la etc etc. Blehh. Honestly, I've never tried to naik a public bus kat Malaysia sorang2. Well, dengan orang pon pernah sekali dua je.

But then, I was at the verge of being broke, so I considered the idea and tried searching for information on London Bus Routes and stuff like that on the net. And then hurray to me, I found the most useful website ever, specially made for those who plan to move about in London -- The Transport For London website. Thise website is soooo cool! It made me believe that everywhere in London is reachable EASILY by public transport!! COol gila la!! I was stuck in front of the screen, trying to find the best route for me to use to UCL, and believe me, they gave me a lot of routes for me to choose from.

There's this 'Journey Planner' thingy. They'll ask you to fill in details like where you're coming from, where you're heading, and what time you expect to arrive, yada yada yada. Here's an example of the result I got when I wanted to go to Goodge Station from my halls of residence which had the postcode EC1V 3PE.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They even prepared a MAPshowing exactly where I'm supposed to walk and stuff like that. Cool Gilee!!

Life in London is made easy for a helpless dumb girl like ME. Ahaha.

Saya suka So7
Mengapa Sheila on 7? Disebabkan Hussein on 7 la! Siapa lagi?

Ahhah!

PEMENANG

Tiba saat kita bangkit
Berlari ke pentas dunia
Jatuh dan bangun itu
Hal yg biasa terjadi

Bersiaplah!! Bersiaplah!!

Tanpa pandang warna kulit
Atau belahan dunia
Semua punya kesempatan
Lakukan yg terbaik

Bersiaplah.. Bersiaplah..
Berjuang tuk menjadi pemenang
Bersiaplah.. Bersiaplah..
Persaingan di depan semakin berat

Jangan sampai mereka
Jatuhkan nyali kita
Tunjukkan pada mereka
Siapa diri kita

Free Iftar!
Finally started classes after such a lllooonnnngggg holiday. My first class started at 12pm, so I didn't have to wake up sooo early. *Yay! Loving Uni life already!* And believe it or not, after three months of staying home and doing nothing, the first thing my brain was opened to was Probability and Statistics 1. Haha. The P & S lecturer - Dr Russel Gerrard, was okay. He gave a brief introduction about the whole subject, and judging from that 'small lecture', the possibility of sleeping in his class is there, even though it's not that high. Ahaha. He's not boring, he tries to make some jokes in class - some manage to be funny while others are just welcomed with silence. Ahahhaa. But at the same time, he's not that exciting. You knoww.. Ahahha, kesian.

The next lecture was Introduction to Economics, by John Heaman. His lecture with us was his first undergraduate lecture after so long. In the recent years, he has only lectured Postgraduate students. He was interesting! He was funny, not because he was being funny, but because he wass so excited about giving his lecture, it looked funny! He was marching up and down, left and right while enthusiastically telling us about Economics. Seronok tengok dia! Ahahha! Mark, who was sitting next to me, tak habis2 immitate dia. Ahahah. Funny!

After that economics lecture, I was done for the day! *Yay! Loving Uni life already!!* Well, actually there was this 'Community Volunteering' thingy in the afternoon. It was optional, so I malas nak pi. And, rupa-rupanya the lecturer didn't come pon! I made the right decision! Ahahha!! So, ater the Econs lecture, Alia and I headed back to our halls. Ynoe what I did for the rest of the afternoon? I searched for cheap accommodation nearby my halls for those who plan to come here during the winter! Yayy!! Tak sabar!! Now I'm really looking forward to December!! Ahahahha!!

Anywayy, around buka puasa time, Alia and I headed to the University Surau, because apparently they were giving out free food for buka puasa! Free Iftar! Seronoknya!! Dapat makan free! Banyak pulak tu! So, both of us will definitely come to the surau to buka puasa. Ahahha! Teruk kan! Datang surau just to get free ffoooddd. =0P

It was a fun first day of school. =0)
But then, I guess soon it will get mundane. HAhahahhahahahhahaha...!!

First Saturday in London
My first Saturday in London was the first day of Ramadhan. So, me and Alia decided to find good food for us to eat for buka. What initially started as a 'food finding quest' ended up to be a CRAZY LONDON ADVENTURE!! Ahaha!

At 11.30am, me and Alia went to search for a nearby Halal butcher. We based our searCh on Azman's ridiculous directions. "Pusing blakang building tu, then masuk jalan yang selari dgn Old Street, carik McD, then lalu blakang to a T-junction, bla bla blaa...." Ahhahahha!! Well, luckily me and Alia have good sense of directions, and we managed to find the butcher! It's a bit further than expected, but still reachable la. Takyahla nak naik tube sampai berjam-jam. Ahahhaa..

We didn't buy anything at the buthcer, we didnt plan to. We wanted to go jalan-jalan on our first Saturday, and tak cool la kalau bawak daging jalan-jalan kat London kaaannn. Ahhaa. Anywayyy, me and Alia jumped onto a tube and headed to Oxford Street. Yeahhhh, you guessed right... Shopping timee!!! Yameen needed to find a place to calm herself down after Actuarial classesss...

We jumped off at the Oxford Circus station, and then guess what!! Keluar-keluar je nampak Topshop! Ahahahha!! At that wonderful moment upon seeing Topshop, I knew Oxford Street would be my hommmmeeee....!!! Me and Alia 'tried' to go to the end of the road, so that we could start somewhere, but Oxford Street doesn't really have an end, does it?? So after not being able to search a starting line, we just started our shopping wherever we felt like starting.

At the initial stage of our shopping extravaganza, we entered all the shops we came across. Konon-kononnye nak window shopping, but only after 15mins through, I started spending already! Ahahah! Biaselaa.. Yameen mane boleh 'window shopping' sahajee.. Duuu-uuhhh... Before you label me 'Crazee Shoppeerrr' mind you, I bought necessitiess.. I bought a pair of shoes coz I only brought 2pairs fr home, and a jacket because I needed one. Okayla, I also bought an unecessary sling bag, and necklaces.. =0P But they were too prettyyyy... Irresistable.... Ahahhaha!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know, shopping at Oxford Street can make someone like me PENGSAN!!! The shops are crazily HUGE, and full of everything possible to be sold!! I went cccrrraaaazzzzeeeeeeyyyyyyy!!!! GGGIIILLEEEE!!! Mata rambang gileee.. Nasib baik M'sian currency to the pound sterling is super expensive. That fact made me control lagi my shopping madness. Kalau takk, habis semua bende kat oxford Street I sapu!

Gile.

Anywayyhh, after I went crazy at Oxford Street, me and Alia wanted to go over to Msian Hall to meet Beyh and Neena, Alia's TKC friends. So we took a tube from Oxford Circus, hoping to go to Queensway through the Central Line. But thenn, apparently part of the Central Line was closed because of some 'engineering problems'. Sooo, Alia and I had to find another way to go to the Msian Hall, so we change lines to get to Bayswater. And we didn't only change once, we changed a whole bunch of times!! Firstly, because we had to change from the Central Line to the Circle Line through the Piccadilly Line. Tu pon dah banyak kene tukar. And secondly because me and Alia tersalah train and ternaik the Hammersmith & City Line instead of the Circle Line, so kene tukar lagi. Hahahah!! Me and Alia practically went on all of the lines!! Ahahah!

Well, even though we went sesat for a few times, berjaye la jugak sampai Bayswater just before berbuka. We ate at Chopsticks, a Halal Chinese Restaurant. I makan nasi goreng + sweet sour chicken. That was my first lengkap meal in London. Ahaha. Syok ah gak dapat makan nasi, after soo long. Here's some pics in the restaurant.

Me, Alia, and Alia (KTJ) at Chopsticks.

Beyh and Neena camera whoring. Ahahahah! =0)

Then, met more of Alia's friends - all from KTJ. Chit chat kejap, then pi Edgware Road. Neena ajak shisha. I was too tired to do anything, but I ikutlaa. Minum tea, lepak-lepak kejapp. Ahaha. Cool lepak place. Very calmm... Arab place la, so banyak pak Arab. Ahahaha. Here's a pic of us at the place.

Me, Alia and Beyh in the Arab lepak place. Ahahaha..

After that we singgah Msian Hall to send Beyh back. She s staying there for the night coz she s off to Edinburgh the next day. I found out Kak Muni was there as well, so I wanted to meet her kejap. But it was kinda late already, figured she was sleeping. So I left a note. Ahaha.

After sending Beyh, Alia + Neena + I went back to Barbican. Balik time. It was around 11.30pm, and Neena pointed out the fact that Alia and I actually went out for 12 hours! Gile kann!! Well, we achieved a lot in those 12hours. We mastered the art of changing tubes, we found Oxford Street and Msian Hall, we found Bayswater - which is the ever so popular place to eat Halal Food.. A lot of achievements whaatt. =0)

After the ever-tiring Saturday, I decided to make Sunday a stay-in day. Penat laa. Ahah.

Induction Week
These past five days have been quite empty to me, mainly because classes haven't started yet. The past week was only the Induction Week, where we were told what to expect during our course, taught how to use the University's technology to our utmost benefit, showed which room is in what building, and of course meet new friends.

For those who are curious to know, being 5 days into my course, I have met eight Malaysians other than myself here in City University. They are all doing Actuarial Science in their first year. Haha. I told you the other courses in City aren't popular at all. =0P Out of the eight, there's one Punjab, one other Malay (Alia), and the rest are all Chinese. Because there seems to be no Malay guys in my year, Mama is already worried about my 'to-be-boyfriend'. Haha. She actually wants me to go to the Malaysian Hall every weekend to find someone! Adeke! Heisy. Oh well. Whatever happens, happens la kann. Blehh.

Everyone in my course seems to be intelligent. Oh well, they'd have to be in order to do Actuarial Science right. =0P I'm kinda worried for myself because being the lazy me, I may not be up to their standard. Hopefully I won't be dumb enough to lack too much behind throughout the course. I guess I have to change my ways! Be more pro-active! Be more studious! Ehehehhehhee. Cakap je lebih. Even typing that sentence made me laugh. Ahahah. =0P

Okay, back to my week, yesterday I had a reception in the Chartered Accountants Hall, which was in the Institute of Chartered Accountants' building. The building was wonderful, it felt like such a glamorous place. I felt proud to be in that hall, even though I was there only for a lame student reception. For those of you who do not know, I've always wanted to become a chartered accountant, ever since I was 15, I think. Daddy has been telling me about the great aspects in being a chartered accountant, and somehow I was brainwashed by his words. At that time, I was really determined to become a chartered accountant! I refused to look at any other careers because my mind was made up! I wanted to become a chartered accountant, and I also wanted to become a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants here, in the UK. That was my dream! Then why did I get myself into actuarial you might ask? Bank Negara Malaysia. Ahaha. They gave me a scholarship to pursue actuarial, and I refused to appeal for a change. Well, I'm not 'blaming' them for giving me this course (even though it is much more challenging compared to accountancy), I'm just taking it as an opportunity for a better future. Ahahhahaa! =0P Oh well. If BNM has the confidence in me completing this degree, why shouldn't I aye?

I met a few local Muslims at the reception last night, and somehow they told me Ramadhan was starting today. Apparently in Malaysia it's starting on Sunday right? Well, whatever day you guys start to fast, I wanna wish all of you a

GREAT RAMADHAN AL-MUBARAK!!!
HAPPY PUASE-ING!!

Jangan ponteng puase tau. Blehh.

London is different
While I was queueing up for my Student Visa, scholars were called up to the front of the line and sent up earlier than everyone else who was making their UK Visa at Wisma MCA in KL. Being a Bank Negara Scholar, I did go up to the lady who was checking our forms once she called out for scholars. I handed my forms to be checked, and unlucky for me, I had one document un-copied. Since they wanted all documents copied, I had to get out fr the room and get a copy outside. Once I was back inside, the lady made me queue up again and wait fo the next 'scholar's call', which was about 45mins later. I had to wait another 45mins just because I didn't have a copy of one document. And not having that copy wasn't my fault. They didn't state anywhere that they wanted copies of every single document.Well, fine. I didn't get mad or anything like that. I took evrything easily because as you know at that time I just wanted my Visa to be over and done with.

This morning, I had to register myself in City Uni to get my ID card. I was supposed to have my registration form, and a form filled in by Bank Negara confirming that I'm sponsored by them, to register. The forms were sent to me back at Malaysia and I only recieved all these forms the day I was leaving to the UK, which was on a Saturday. Obviously, I couldn't have gotten the sponsor form filled in before I left Malaysia becuase I had to get someone from Bank Negara to certify it, and the bank was closed on Saturday. So, I asked my dad to go to the bank on Monday to ask those people to fill it in, and get it faxed over to the office at City Uni ASAP.

So, when I was registering today, I didn't have the sponsor form with me. Once I was at the registrating counter, I explained my situation to the man dealing with my forms. He asked me to go down to the Finance Office, try to get the fax and come back up to him once I found it. He said I need not queue up again once I had the fax.

And that was what I did. I got the fax, came up again, and went straight to the beginning of the line. I saw some weird looks from those who were in the queue. I guess they were starting to get pissed off because someone was cutting the line. I waited until the man was not busy, and when I got up to go see him, another girl who wanted to register stood up as well, I guess because it was her turn up next.

I was fearing a verbal dispute between me and the girl. Who to go first, because it seemed like I was cutting the queue. But lucky me, the man who was behind the counter told the oher girl politely "May I just see this lady for a while?", and the girl turned back and took her seat. I was so happy! No need to quarrel. Nobody had to raise voices. I mean, it's unlikely that something like that would happen in Malaysia. Looking at the increasing number of advertisements for 'budi bahasa' in Malaysia, it may happen. But for now, it's still unlikely. Haha.

It's different here. Drivers here actually respect pedestrians on a zebra crossing, taxi drivers actually follow the metre readings for price, cashiers actually greet each and every customer with a smile.

It's different here.

I'm in London!
Finally here, in London. =0)

Okay, I actually arrived on the morning of the 17th. But mind you, I baru dapat internet connection yesterday evening. So, I can only check my email, friendster account, or update my blog from now on. Okayhh?

So. Let's start with my journey in London, aye?

Alia (another BNM scholar), Vincent (my Taylor's classmate) and I landed at the Heathrow Airport around 6am, I guess. (Didn't really look at the time mase tu.) All the immigration/customs crap went smoothly, so we were out around 7am. I wasn't searched or questioned a million questions or anything like that. So, the small, scared-of-everything me was free from all that freaky airport dilemma, not that I was expecting anything big. Hahaa. Thank God. =0P

Alia arranged to have Azman (another BNM scholar who's in his second year now) pick us up at the airport, so that we won't be lost on our way to City Uni. Even though he actually made us wait for about 1++ hour, it was okay. The three of us were in new territories, so waiting for a guide was necessary. =0) Anyway, I had my camera to keep us entertained.

There's me, Alia and Vincent after the 13hour flight. =0)

So once Azman arrived, we hopped on a train from Heathrow to Kings Cross Station on the Piccadilly Line. Got a cab there, and went straight to the Halls of Residence. It was around 10.30am then, lucky for us they were already open for checking in. So, me and Alia checked into our rooms and got ourselves comfortable for a while. My room is cozy - small and cute. Haha. It has all the necessary items - a single bed (not a queen size one Opu.. =0P), a bedside drawer, a desk, a book shelf, a wardrobe, and also a wash basin. The location of my room is quite strategic as the kitchen is exactly next door, and the toilet is just opposite my room. =0) So, I takyah la jalan byk sgt.

Here's the view I get from my room window.

Okla kan? =0P I dont know what that tall building is actually.. Hahaa.

Later that day, Azman brought us to Angel, where we did a little shopping. Bought some necessities. Angel is a shopping area just a walking distance fr my place. Popular shops there are like Marks and Spencer, FCUK, GAP, Borders etc etc. So, I'll probably spend my money there most of the time.. Hahahaha.. Yameen kalau jumpa shopping area susah la kan.. Hehee..

Okay enough with that. The night of my first day, there was a Welcome Party down at the common room of my residence. It was cool, met new people. Most of them were sooooo much taller than I am. I felt extremely vertically challenged.. Hahahhaha..!! Oh well, that's not a big surprise since I am a tad too small for these Britts. Hahahaha...

Okay, back to the party. It was fun..!! Met people fr evrywhere! And I'm starting to like the British accent. Sounds cool. I don't think I'll have one, mind you. But I like listening to those who talk with it. Sounds really neat. Hahaaa. Ni lah dia orang melayu jakun. Hahahahhahahaa.....

So that was my first day. And I dah malas nak merapu about the other days. Later I'll find time okay? =0)

MIssing Daddy Already..
Did I tell you my dad has been in Amsterdam since Monday - 11th Sept? And he's only coming back here on Saturday morning - the day I'm flying off. Papa has not been around on my last week in Malaysia. Well, the last week for this year at least. Sedih kan? Sedih Gilee!!!

Heisy.. Sedihh. I'm missing papa even before I'm going. See how gedik I am? Two months ago, papa didn't have any obligation to go anywhere other than send us kids wherever we wanna go, or bring us out for lunch or dinner, or go golfing. And the funny thing about all this is when he didn't have a job, I was the one who bising suruh dia find a job ASAP. Now that he has a job, I'm hating it. Now, daddy's not around to eat lunch with me. He's not there to 'rebut' the Astro remote control with me. Heisy. And the worst thing about this job he's doing is the fact that he HAS to go away so often! Jauh pulak tu!

Well, he s doing this for us jugak kan. I should be thankful I guess. And nasib baik he s coming back Saturday morning. If he were to come back on Sunday it would be a whole different dilemma wouldn't it?

Still. I miss daddy. =0(

Pre-departure Happenings

Firstly, thanx to those who came to my house on the 9th. =0) I appreciate your attendance dearly. Unfortunately, there are no nice pictures of the night, because the photographer was my bro Ang. If Amil wasn't at Langkawi, he wouldv'e been a much better photographer. Still, the day was definitely an unforgetful one, thanx to those who made it happen! =0)

And there's one song that'll definitely remind me of that night - I'll Be Right Here Waiting For You by Richard Marx. Thanx to those who dedicated the song to me. =0) I know you guys will be waiting for meeeee... Hahahahaha.. =0P

Also, bye bye to Arina. She left for Leeds, UK on the 9th. Well, I guess I'll be seeing you more often than the people in Msia since ure in the UK. Hahaha.

Okay. Enough with that. FYI, I'm already 80% ready to go. I have my flight ticket, my sudent Visa, my medical check-up (in case the custom people think I'm bringing a disease to the UK), money, and all necessary stuff ready. Urm, well not exactly 'ready'. I haven't finished packing yet.. Hahaa.. Hoping to get that done todayyy...

So as of now (12pm, Thursday, 14th Sept 2006), I have 59 hours and 40 mins in Malaysia, that is if my flight wouldn't be delayed. I'm feeling scared, excited, enthusiastic, curious, happy, sad, joyful, fearful, all mixed together. Ntahla. Maybe I'm slowly becoming crazy. Or some of you might say crazi-ER. =0P

Oh well. If I miss Malaysia so much, I can fly back with my wings. Remember in one of my earlier posts I mentioned that I wished to be half mortal? I wished to have wings like Angel had in the movie X-Men III? Well, my wish has come true. Check out my wings. Just call for me, and my wings will get me home. =0)

Good News!!
And, I actually have several good news! Not only one!! =0)

FIRST GOOD NEWS : I've submitted my Visa application, and they said it'll be ready between 2-5 working days. So, it'll definitely be ready before the 16th. One HUGE burden off. Pheww..!!

SECOND GOOD NEWS : I got the new car alreadyy!!! YayayayyYYyyYyY!!! The car is a Proton Savvy, manual of course. (For those of you who don't know, me and my brother both prefer driving a manual car). Anyway, the car is Apai's, but Papa gave me the benefit of using it before I go off. So, it's my car for 9 more days. =0) And, just in case you're an ignorant Malaysian who doesn't know what a Savvy looks like, here's a picture of the car. My car is black in colour, just like the pic.

THIRD GOOD NEWS : Okay, this is not much of a 'good news', it's probably just an announcement. =0P I'm having a makan-makan + doa selamat for my departure to London!! And people, ure all invitedd!!

It's on the 9th of Sept, this Saturday at my place. The doa selamat is actually after maghrib, but since Arina's departing on that same night, those who wish to send Arina off at the airport may come earlier to chit-chat and lepak2 with me petang tu. Those who don't even have a clue who Arina is, datangla pukul brape korang nak. The doa selamat is malam, so datang la around that time. =0)

For info about where my house is, call or sms me. Senang je nak carik rumah i..
=0P

Okay. That's all the good news I can give. And now, I have a few not-so-pleasant pictures to show u. Hahaa. Here is the condition of my room now. All because I've been trying to pack. Hahaaaa.

Pre-departure STRESS
To those of you who are planning to go to the UK to further your education, I advise you to try your best to fulfill your Firm Choice's conditions, because having to accept your Insurance Choice or going into Clearing is a lot of hassle. Opu would back me on this.

Or maybe it's just me. Blehh.

To those of you who don't know yet, I missed LSE's offer by one grade thus causing me to go to City Uni. Even though I knew it was unlikely of LSE to accept me, I appealed to them hoping that they kesian-kan me and suddenly have the urge to become angels and accept me. And, because of the appeal to LSE, City Uni sent my offer letter later than others because they had to make sure LSE rejected me before they could accept me in. And because they sent the letter late, everything became delayed, thus causing the stress I'm in now. It has become complicated.

I am supposed to be leaving Malaysia in 12 days time, but I haven't even sent in my application for my Student Visa. And I was told that the Visa takes a minimum of 5 working days to be completed. MINIMUM 5 WORKING DAYS.

Before you blame ME for not applying the Visa earlier, IT'S NOT MY FAULT! I can't apply for my Visa because I received my offer letter LAMBAT, AND I haven't received my accommodation offer yet. Well, actually I baru dapat the letter through email just now after sending a lot of emails to the accommodation and International Offices. Heisy.

Stress I tell you. STRESS.

Please pray that my Visa Application won't take that long.

see...have you ever wondered how, somehow, your life seems to imitate mine?
I mean - I know I’m your idol and all...but, this???
it felt like I was reading my own teenage history text book. the time where Nottingham Uni rejected and Sheffield accepted and then Nottingham accepted when Sheffield accepted which in turn left me in a mess.
hahaha...good luck with the accommodation, kiddo!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Tuesday, September 05, 2006 10:57:00 AM

hey.. i had that prob gak dulu. UNSW bagi surat cam lambat nak mampos!!

but dont worry, min 5 days, inyaAllah min 5 days. kalau tak, u can always leave a bit later, which is great!! haha

all the best meen!

By Anonymous erina_z, at Wednesday, September 06, 2006 12:42:00 AM

erin!.. wut do u mean insyaAllah minimum 5 days! we DONT want it to be min 5 days!! we want it to be MAX 5 days. ahah.. the sooner its done the better!

By Anonymous soraya barakbah, at Wednesday, September 06, 2006 4:22:00 AM

Auntie Sue yang perasan-tan, u are sooo GEDIKK!! My life may immitate yours as it immitates evryone else's, like Erin's!! I hope Aleeya won't be as perasan-tan as u, or else the world is doomed... Heisyy...

And people, worry not. I made my Visa alrdy. And the orang2 Visa kate it'll be ready in 2-5 working days. So 5 working days would be the maximum. =0)

Pangkor, again.
Kru held an instructors' conference on the 31st of August until the 1st of Sept in Pangkor. For those of you who don't know, Yes I am a kickboxing instructor. Well, an apprentice actually. Not a full-fledged instructor yet. =0)

I don't have much to say about the trip, coz that's not really the reason I'm writing this post. No doubt the trip was a fun one, of course. And I am slightly tanned and burnt because of that, hahaa.

Anyways, what I really want to point out here is the fact that I'm already starting to miss being here in Malaysia even though I haven't actually left this land as yet.

On the way back from Pangkor, we obviously had to stop to eat since the journey was a long and tiring one. While all of us were busy enjoying our hot meals, Kru without warning suddenly called Pao up to give a 'farewell speech' to me. I was taken by surprise! I didn't expect any 'Goodbyes' or 'Farewells' yet! I still had two weeks, and that's not really a short time left. (I think) =0P

Anyways, it was obvious that Pao was also shocked by Kru's sudden gesture. Hahaaa..!! Well, eventhough Pao was caught off-guard, he still gave a very meaningful farewell wish to me. As did Wee, Wei Wei, Bow, and of course Kru. There were also others from Lizzie, Roy, and Joe, but I'm not saying that theirs weren't meaningful. The one's I mentioned earlier were just a bit more special. =0)

I didn't cry. =0P But I certainly felt like I was going to. I maintained a smile throughout their speeches, even though truthfully I know that I will definitely miss each and every one of these guys very dearly. These guys are the ones who believed in that small, little girl who barely knew how to kick or punch properly to actually make another Malaysian Record together with them. These are the people who kept telling that fearful little girl that she has nothing to fear about even though she is the only girl who has to be trained in an all-boys class. This team believed in that demure girl ---> ME.

And this bunch of fiesty punching and kicking people are the ones who made most of my days unforgettable ones. =0)

Here's and unforgettable moment. Us training on Pangkor's beach with the sunset as the background. =0D

So it has begun. Me leaving Malaysia is finally becoming a reality. I guess I have to get used to all the 'Goodbyes' and 'Farewells'.
